SR‘s tuning discs are carbon fibre based based, but I was leaning towards the notion that certain minerals were being suspended in the carbon matrix to give it the required properties.  I wonder whether the mineral paint additives are contributing towards providing the same sort of effect ?

Yes there are carbon based substances which have sonic benefits beyond your wildest dreams. I happen to have discovered them. I have no idea if SR uses them in the carbon tuners. I suspect not. 

Further proof that nature abhors a vacuum.
