Connecting Audio

Hello everyone

I just purchased a Rotel Pre-Amp. RC-1070. I bought a Amp. Rotel RB-870BX a few years ago. I was using it with my Pioneer Receiver SX-950. The Receiver is connected to Equalizer/ Reel to Reel/ Turntable with a turntable Phone Amp./CD Player/Cassette Tape

Could I still use my Pioneer Receiver as 2nd Pre-Amp. since the RX-1070 has a

2nd set of OUTPUTS? Thank-You for your thoughts.😎

It's not advisable because the two sets of outputs on the RX-1070 are paralleled, if the preamp mute its output by shorting the output to ground while the preamp is power off, so use the 2nd set of output on the RX-1070 as the input of SX-950 pre-out will not work.

If both unit are power on then there's possibility damage one or both unit!

My suggestion is connect both units pre-out through a source switcher to the power amp input.
