Right. Certainly a scam, but they (he?) are pretty good at it. They even sent me a photo of the amp with my name and current date written on a sheet a paper placed on the amp. You would have to be at least somewhat tech savvy to notice that it was a photo shop job. I asked for a physical address and got back what appeared to be an empty warehouse in Philadelphia. "Great!" I wrote back. "I have a relative who lives in Philadelphia who will be glad to drop by and pick up the amp for me. He will pay full price in person!" Suddenly, another buyer had materialized and bought the amp out from under me. In the space of five minutes.
For anyone posting a WTB ad, buyer beware. Scammers are getting more sophisticated than they used to be.
