Kudos to Millersound


Just wanted to share my recent positive experience with Bill at Millersound for those who are needing a speaker repair service recommendation. As a Spendor owner since 1998, I had been listening to SP 1/2s really not realizing how stiff the rubber surrounds had become and how badly they were out of frquency spec. I braved UPS and sent in these irreplaceable drivers, and Bill returned them within 10 days with a perfectionist-level replacement of the butyl surrounds. They now sound like the day I bought them, i.e. I can once again hear tones below 80hz...Yes! Bill saved my beloved SP1/2s and has made listening to my music fun once again. Thank you, Millersound!

One of my audio pals had MIlleresound do a couple different restorations for him and he was exceedingly pleased.

I exchanged info myself with Bill, enough to decide my project was not worth doing.  Very prompt and direct answers.

It's easy to understand why he has such a strong reputation.

I just received back (2) drivers from Bill that were absolutely fried. He even sent me pictures, (which, if I could figure out how to post them, I would) of the awful shape they were in. I wasn’t even sure he could fix them, but he assured me he could.

I got back two of the nicest, rebuilt from the ground up, drivers that could ever be done. They sound like new and saved a really cool speaker.

I’ve sent Bill quite a few drivers here recently and he is indeed a "National Treasure!"

I am just curious...what would the cost of a new driver been compared to the repair?
