Tripoint Grounding Question - Troy Signature and Troy NG

Hello fellow Audiogoners - I currently own a Tripoint Troy Signature and I have all of my 3 components grounded to that box and love it ......I have the opportunity to get a TriPoint NG grounding box that is sonically more advanced than the Troy Signature that I currently own as I had mentioned. I have '' heard '' that keep the Troy Signature on the amp and pick up the newer Troy NG for your source components. Please let me know if anybody knows anything on this perspective and if they are running two model's of TriPoint in their systems. Thank you in advance ...stay well out there !

Hello lalitk ....and thank you and I hope all is well. I tried to contact Mike Lavigne in the past but no response as I am sure that he is busy as we all seem to be these days. I would appreciate his response as well to see if there would be a sonic improvement as I am hoping or confident there will be if I go that path. Your Entreq products from other I talked to, are also very good at grounding a system.

hi @garebear,

sorry if i did not respond to your previous question. sometimes questions do stack up and i lose track....or i get a little unstuck and behind. i enjoy answering, so it’s not a bother to me.

to answer your Tripoint question; for sure "what" Tripoint does, has the greatest effect on sources, particularly solid state sources and preamps. i have a Troy Sig and an Elite (both non NG). my Troy Sig is on my darTZeel amp mono blocks and speakers. my Elite is on my sources.

so put your best Tripoint device and best Tripoint cables on your most significant source gear. #1--preamp, #2--dac, #3---phono.

not had the ’NG’ level Tripoint in my system...yet. congrats if you can snag one.

Good morning Mike  - and no problem and I hope all is well. It did take me awhile to catch on to TriPoint Grounding stations but what a difference they make. I have the Troy Signature as I have noted abut I did upgrade the original grounding cables that came with the Troy and that also made a big difference. I was wondering about using two different types of Miguel's grounding stations in my system on what that would do. The Troy added a nice smoothness / musicality to my system but Miguel is is telling me that his new line brings out more musicality but also allows your system to dig deeper into the recording and bring out more detail. So, you currently use two of his grounding stations , what do you think ? Thank you  in advance.

....as the OP I guess nobody owns any TriPoint Grounding stations it would seem.

I have noticed that grounding boxes do not seem to get much attention on Audiogon and actually in the USA. Check out "What's Best" Forum they seem to get a lot of attention there.

I own a Silver Tellus Entreq box, and I have made a few DIY versions that I believe far exceed what the Entreq unit does.

The Tripoint is on my future list, but boy are they costly and they don't seem to be available used. Plus, I'm not sure if there is even a USA dealer.
