The greatest organist and jazz multi-instrumentalist leaves us after just 51 years of living and sharing his music almost since he was born.

He was extremely obese so that might play the critical factor of his sudden death.

My favorite record is him with John McLaughlin Live in Tokyo

His live record - "Live at the 5 Spot" is really good. Also, his record w/ special Guest Jimmy Smith - "Incredible!" is also really good. He will be missed. Sorry I never had an opportunity to see him live.

For those who have yet to hear either of them, kill two birds with one stone! Released on CD in 1994 by Big Mo Records.
