Has anyone gone from Tannoy to Zu Audio?

Just wanted to point the above out. I have no idea if the Zu sound would be something you guys would like. You could phone them and inquire about the sound and the above return policy.

Once again someone that speaking about live sound when describing Zu:s.
What do you mean whith sounding live?
John Darko said something like they sounded like a mini PA-system!!! 
I don't want a recording of a jazz trio in a small club to sound like they were playing through a PA-system. 
I mean, most recordings are done in a studio, they shouldn't sound like they were playing through a PA-system.
But you went from smoothness to Zu anyway. Interesting.

I have tried several amps with my Tannoys (Tube Technology Unisis Signature, Line Magnetic LM34AI, Moonriver 404 Reference and my 12w Sterling Stereo Plus Anniversary KT88 power amp + Audion Audio Premier 0,5 Line level pre amp) and the speakers sounds very nice, but then I have to crank up the volume a little too much for my liking. And when I crank up the volume my 12w tube amp doesn't have juice enough to hold the sound stage together (so to say).

Having the chance to return them is rather easy for you guys in the US, but returning them from Sweden is a different story. At least when it comes to shipping cost and fees. 

@simna, right you are, I did not realize you were in Sweden. Please let us know what you end up doing, whenever you decide on the correct choice.

@aldnorab a Klipsch from 20 years ago is a very different beast to that of today. Get the right amp with that or a Zu; set up properly and it’s hard to imagine fatigue being the word that would spring to mind. I like Darko but his comment re: PAs was unhelpful and more than a little deceptive. 

I gave up trying to find new speakers for my small 12w tube amp.

Maybe I'll try to find a good push-pull using EL34, KT77, KT88 and 6550. for my Tannoys instead.
