Ayon CD-5s

I have an Ayon CD-5s that's DOA! It died about 10 hrs after being serviced at the Ayon dealer in Scottsdale. As a precaution, I had sent it in for new tubes and had the laser laser drive replaced. It reads "no disk" when powered up. Shipped it back to AZ again and was told it's unable to be repaired. I imagine it might be worth something to someone, heck the remote cost 350.00 to replace.  Question, what to do with it?

Should i list it here or Ebay or just toss it?

Thank you.

It is possible that the dealer installed a secondhand laser assembly that was already near its end of life. Laser assemblies have a life span of several thousand hours. Since you have already spent thousands on this CD player get it fixed!

Thank you for the reply. I have done a lot of biz with Audio Classics, love them. Appreciate all of your comments.

I’d reach out to Ayon directly before I gave up. Most dealerships don’t have a service department capable to work on digital components. Agree with Jasonborne52. Could be a simple fix.

I might do that. I did look into shipping to Austria and back. It's starts to get crazy $$. I really appreciate the feedback! Thank you.
