Why don't higher end amplifiers come with a separate power chassis?

My amp has two power supplies and a battery.

NAIM I haven’t heard much about this brand, anybody know if it’s any good?

@emergingsoul NAIM is a British company. Their equipment is very well made. I’d say the NAIM sound signature is similar to that of McIntosh but priced a bit lower. I heard from a NAIM dealer that their flagship line of amplifiers do come with a separate power source.

@pedroeb yes pro gear can be used for critical listening not so much with the xti for the fan is loud but can be changed, the xls are nearly silent and I only hear a noise when I put my ear right up to the amp and I can hear the power supply. Keep in mind that pro gear puts out more power so the electric might make some noise since electricity makes a humming noise louder or quieter depending on the amount of power being produced
