Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

I could listen to all the jazz recordings one time each for the rest of my life, yet still not come close to listening to all of them.

Tonight it’s the late great Hank Mobley’s Workout LP. A great and overlooked album. Mobley was a great artist. How many haven’t even heard of him?

Not sure why, but Fridays after a long week, I always seem to reach for Brahms

Szell conducts Brahms

  • Double Concerto In A Minor

The Cleveland Orchestra with Mstislav Rostropovich & David Oistrakh
Angel reissue 1980’s, originally 1969 Мелодия

Bernstein conducts Brahms

  • Serenade in A

Columbia Masterworks 1968

Oingo Boingo / Only A Lad

I see they’re releasing Boingo, the band’s finale album finally on LP. Haven’t played this in a long while, it sounds fantastic. Great cover of The Kinks “You Really Got Me”.
