The best plug in filter ever!

Puron AC Power Conditioner by Greg Voth

After reading rave review of Puron AC plug in filter, I had got one 10 days ago.

For your information my system is very complicated with bi amping and three Farad linear supplies.

Thus I have 14 power cables, one main power conditioners, three isolation transformers.

I had tried plug in fliters from quiet lines, quartet stecker, IFI, furutech, Nordost Qv2 and QX2 fliters.

I still have all of them in my system without selling any of them.

I am collector. 😁

All of them had brought slight improvement but not drastic change.

But as soon as I inserted Puron Ac filter, it made background black with more details and clear bass.

The stereotimes review is spot on.

Encouraged by the result, I had ordered two more of them so that I can insert more of them close to amps and Dac.

Now my system got transformed with more vivid and clear sound stage but not overetched.

This is the best 750$ that I had spent during last 5 years in my audio system.

Here is a quoted comparison from the Steve Hoffman forums between 3 filters.

After now having three of these devices: Clear Line, Nordost QK1, and today Puron(running all three together currently), I will say that they have varying degrees of impact, as well as impacting different areas of the frequency range. Puron, from the jump, is the most impressive and impacts the whole presentation more completely. Really adds nice a nice body to the tone, a more "there" presence. But not forward, attacks and decays seem more real, more organic. I don't see removing any of them.

I’ll give it a try in the outlet that the conditioner is plugged into and move the Venom Defender into the conditioner and see if that positioning makes more of an impact.

@simguy  If you saw my now deleted post or not  I apologize  it was a bit snarky , have been having a bad day but no excuse .

facten,

I would also like to add that I found with the Puron filter the HF MC-.05 type devices detracted the sound quality.

You may also find that to be true with the Venon filter. So also try it with that one removed.

I shifted the Puron from being inserted in the power conditioner to the wall outlet that the power conditioner is plugged into, and placed the Venom Defender that was residing there into the power conditioner. I will agree with the  assessment that this positioning of the Puron allows its SQ benefits to come across with more impact than what I experienced placing it in the power conditioner.  I am going to listen this way for a few days and I may then try it without the Defender in the power conditioner to see what change there may be. I do find the Defender to be positive in the SQ department and it does help address my concern about surge protection as I noted in an earlier post in this thread, but I'll let things play out. Thanks ozzy and simguy for the prodding.
