Benchmark AHB2 amp - what speaker connectors are used….

So, complete newbie trying to get my new AHB2 and DAC3 HGC connected to my Totem 1 bookshelf speakers……

I have a pair of Kimber cables with spade connectors and was just about to connect them until I noticed binding posts on the AHB2 seem to only accept a single prong type speaker cable. The binding posts have clear plastic covers covering them, it’s difficult to see but if I can get those covers off they might accept spade connectors - is this the case, and if so, how do you remove those clear plastic covers?

Benchmark support would be the obvious place to ask but it’s the weekend, plus, I can’t call on the phone as I’m in Brazil.

imhififan Details Discussions Posts This discussion Message User 2,217 posts 04-08-2023 at 10:35am Copy Comment URL Report Comment Edit Delete you can turn the clear plastic nut counterclockwise to loosen it and insert the spade connector from the bottom of the binding post. You also can use some spade to banana adapter to make connection easier. Btw, Benchmark recommend speakON connection.
