Thanks!  I am trying to get into some classical music after stumbling along on this big marble for 54 years, and your posts are very helpful in that regard. Mostly "modern" stuff like Shoenberg, Crumb, and Shostakovich so far but I'm trying to be open to everything that comes my way. There is so much material, I feel like I have a whole world to discover.

Oh, indeed there is. Part of the enjoyment is learning how they all fit into the big picture and puzzle often referred to as ‘classical’. The ‘modern’ composers are some of my favorites, Stravinsky is incredible.
