Why on earth?

Answer me this:  On You-Tube, there are endless of reviews, comparisons, and demos of equipment played in the creators room, recorded by a mic and published as if we could hear anything relevant considering we are listening to OUR stereo!  Some of these have high play counts.   Does anyone think they could hear differences in an amp or DAC picked up by some unknown mic, A2D, post processing and played back on their HT?   Are we really that stupid?

Listening to YouTube is 100% useless for evaluating the sound of someone's system.  You're hearing mp3 quality over earphones or your desktop rig.  To think that anyone could get an idea of what a system sounds like through that brings to mind very uncharitable words.

End of story.

Differences in tubes over You-Tube?  Must be really really dramatic with linear and non linear distortions in double digits.  Well, some tubes are that bad so OK.

Going NOS I assume? Ukraine sourced?  Russian or Czeck?

Love my tube amp but not a fan of YouTube for discovering new audio equipment.

So shoving rat poop in all the unused rca, xlr and speaker connectors isn’t going to make everything sound better?  And increase the soundstage?

Boy do I feel silly.😁
