Help with digital conversion please

Good buddy's mother- in- law passed away this year. She sang in choir for years and he tracked down numerous cassette recordings of her. He'd like to convert to digital for a Christmas gift for his wife. Neither are audiophiles, just want to make the conversions sound good. Either gear or conversion service recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
