Nice vintage $2k Turntable, cartridge, and phono stage

I currently have a current version Rega P3, I am looking to make a change. I have   been drawn recently to vintage turntables especially with wooden plinths. The looks of the turntable are important (maybe more than they should be).  I would like a good looking TT with a modern phono stage, used is fine, and a good quality cartridge. I’d be happy with a “good” not necessarily great sounding setup to go with my Simaudio integrated and KEF R5 speakers.

Anyone have any experience they can share?

Well I finally bought a refurbished Pioneer PL-518 turntable. It is almost a match of what I had in the late 70’s.

Its coming with an inexpensive cartridge, and I am looking to replace it immediately. I am looking at a Denon dl-110. I’m curious if anyone has any thoughts if this is a good match. 

I’m also looking to upgrade my phono stage as well if anyone had thoughts about that. Vinyl is my third option behind streaming and CD’s. I don’t have an extensive album collection, so I’m looking in the +- $500 range, preferably used. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I have a Yamaha GT-2000 with Yamaha headshell and I'd given you a decent cartridge for $2,000! Too late now I suppose.
