Voltage conversion of Accuphase A-65 or A-70

Thanks for posting photos of Accuphase A-80. To convert the mains supply voltage from 100V to 120V, my suggestion is power up the A-80 with 100V mains,

• Use an AC voltmeter to measure the voltage between the yellow/brown and red/blue wire connector tap on the Faston connector block, you should get a reading of 100VAC,
• measure the voltage between yellow/brown and orange wire tap on the Faston connector block with a AC voltage meter, you should get a reading of 120VAC,
• measure the voltage between yellow/brown and white wire tap on the Faston connector block with a AC voltage meter, you should get a reading of 120VAC.

If the above measurements are correct, swap the blue wire for the white wire and the red wire for the orange wire to convert the A-80 mains transformer to 120V mains.

In addition, install a resistor in series to the primary winding of the auxiliary transformer to reduce the output voltage of its secondary winding by 20%.

Just wanted to let you know that I don't have any experience with A-80 voltage conversion, I'm just making recommendations based on photos and previous experience converting Accuphase amplifiers. I highly recommend using DBT to power up the A-80 after conversion.

Meanwhile, do you know information on voltage conversion of Accuphase control amplifiers like C-3900, C-2900 and C-2300?
