Grounded Speaker Cable

Anyone here using the model 34 speaker cable I’m thinking about replacing my sp12 with it. 

If you dont want to try the sp14 with the ground wire, the 34 doesnt have a ground wire.

I believe I was one of the first people to purchase the SP14 speaker cables and I had no idea it came with a ground wire. I received an email from Cap after I placed the order and he asked me how far my system would be from an open outlet with a ground and a short explanation of why and what to do with the ground wire. The ground wire does not cause any issues in my system but I'm very hard pressed to tell you a difference in sound with vs without the ground. I prefer my (Veritas Cables) Aperta speaker cables.

In May of 2023, I had Cap send me the SP12s and also model 34 speaker cables in 10" length. At the time there was no mention of the SP14s. I tried both in my system and found the model 34 as the clear winner. I think the main difference was the added clarity of finer details in the music.

I have the Simaudio Moon 600i integrated amplifier, and Focal L&R Utopia Be loudspeakers.
