Thiel SS2.2 added a new dimension

I've had Thiel CS3.7s for over two years now and I love them. Just added the SS2.2 subwoofer and am astounded at the improved sound--not only bass but the entire spectrum. If you ever get a chance to audition a subwoofer in your system, don't do it! Unless you have the bucks to buy it that is.

You have to stop viewing it as a subwoofer but a way of extending a limited range Class A speaker into a full range Class A speaker :)
Very late comer to this thread, sorry!

I have a SS2.2, centered between my 2.7s, fed via a  PX05 passive crossover configured for the 2.7s.   The PX05 is fed from my Bryston 4BSST2.

I'll second the above thought that the SS2.2 is not an AV "punch you in the gut" type subwoofer, but does extend the apparent low frequency response of the 2.7s, but without drawing attention to the sub, per se.

Disclaimer: I listen to a range of classical music, but not heavy metal or rock. I'm not set up for AV - - just a 2 channel stereo system.
