Anyone have

I just heard my friends Lyngdorf DPA-1 preamp with room correction. It popped at high volume and then just cutout, not playing any music. A restart and a lowering the volume made it work fine, just can't play it loud. Weird. Any brothers out the ever hear of such a thing?

If that's a active preamp it might have clipped. I had that happen years ago and it was off to the shop. I small smoke signal came out of the top of the amp. I never played music that loud again, which in turn has increased my enjoyment of music.
