Collectibles signed by musicians. What do you have?

After getting a new equipment rack, I needed to change the wall decor.  I found a good spot to hang a guitar on the wall.

This guitar was signed by the original members of Collective Soul in 1995.  It's been verified by the band.  I had posted a photo as a comment on their Facebook page. Both Ed and Dean Roland liked the post. I thought that was pretty cool.

I found the guitar at a Guitar Center in Las Vegas.  It's a decent Mexican Telecaster.  It's not something that they sold to the public.  Probably given as a prize, etc.

I don't have much else.  A Triumph album signed by Rik Emmett.

I bet some of you people have some cool signed items and stories to go with it.  I would be interested in hearing about it if you care to share.

Many years ago I purchased a signed 12” single of John Mellencamp’s “Pink Houses”. It was a great sounding acoustic demo version. Years later I was attending a tribute speech program where high school seniors wrote and delivered a speech about someone important to their life journey. One student delivered a gut wrenching tribute to her dad who died in the Twin Towers on 9/11 when she was very young. She had few memories of her father but one of them was that “Pink Houses” was his favorite song. Next day I brought her my autographed copy and gave it to her in remembrance of her dad. We both cried.

Oh boy now you’ve done it.  Cool stuff and cool back stories. I have a whole bunch of signed sports memorabilia but no music or instruments I can think of but now I’m thinking about getting some.  Expect an angry call from my wife lol.

Never been an autograph or memorabilia collector, but I do still have my right hand which shook Bob Dylan's at the old New Haven Arena in 1966 when I was 17yrs old. My buddy and I went up to the side of the stage as the first set was ending and Bob was walking off. I reached up my hand and he took it and gave it a little shake.

That show still ranks as one of the best I've ever been to, being one of Bob's earliest electric shows. I remember that he had a lot of trouble navigating around the stage with all the guitar cords that he wasn't used to having there. Tripped and almost stumbled a few times. Saw him again that same year in Hartford at the Bushnell.

I have a couple things I value.
First, a CD by Return to Forever signed by the entire band. The original line up of Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Stanley Clark, and Lenny White got together for reunion album and concert tour back around the early 2000’s I think it was. Anyway, a very good friend was at a concert with back stage passes and they signed it right there. He gave it to me as a birthday gift. He has since passed away so it’s very special to me. I keep it on display all times.
Second, I have one of those framed gold record replicas that were flying around eBay over 20 years ago.  Jethro Tull Aqualung signed by Ian Anderson. It came with a certificate of authenticity and a photograph of him signing it. So I choose to believe that it’s real. That’s one of my all time favorite albums so I value it hanging in my man cave.

I remember a long time ago once after shaking hands with Margo Timmins of The Cowboy Junkies, I never wanted to wash that hand again.  But I did.  (I also got her to sign my Black Eyed Man CD after that concert.)
