Bob Perkins dead at 91

Last Sunday WRTI's (Philadelphia) beloved Jazz host Bob Perkins passed. Bob introduced several generations of us East Coast Jazz lovers to the art. He is remembered here https://www.wrti.org/arts-desk/2025-01-19/bob-perkins-a-legend-of-jazz-radio-at-wrti-and-beyond-dies-at-91

He knew the music and the artists in a genuine way that drew you in. Without him I probably would have missed loving some of the best music in the world.

I've Followed BP around the dial for decades, a real Jazz Gentleman. Still love RTI.

Sorry to hear of his passing. I discovered him via the internet and would listen to him, here in NJ. He is very similar to another Bob-Bob Porter, who was on WBGO, and left us in 2021.
