Does You Subwoofer Settings ??

I'm also 73 and i think I've become a bass junkie, or should I say truly full range music listening addiction I have tower speakers with built-in powered subs along with two SVS Ultra 13 subs with the upgraded plate amps  I listen to everything from Frank Sinatra to Odesza  Typically I have my subs crossed over at 38 hz and adjust the gain to eliminate any boomyness  Almost all music sounds coherent and not overbearing, no matter the music  Hey my brother had a Harley Sportster and would let me ride it once in a while I reciprocated by letting him drive (hard decision) my 1972 BMW 2002ti

And I've discovered Daft Punk!!  Seriously though. I love how subs can energize a room when music like, London Grammar song Hey Now is played 

I have made few adjustments.. I only play system when wife is out to enjoy music and probably good thing in few ways.. that the sound of system is sort of fresh and not tiring playing to much and saving my hearing even at 75 db ..

I turned the Sub 90 degrees and moved it out and this has helped... Also I had Sub set to high over my speakers and did not relize until I turned down sub and slowly brought it up ..My setting on SVS was 19 and now at 25...So wife goes out Friday will play some and see....My wheels are Custom one off Polaris Turbo Slingshot, .Harley Springer in living room for 25 yrs & Lotus Emira...2006 Jeep Unlimited Truck I built 2 doors.

Because no two engineers mix music the same way, there is no one setting for subwoofers, but you can get close.  That said,  since I changed from KEF Reference speakers to Sonus Farber Amati speakers, I am finding I’m not using the one SVS SB2000 Pro I have as much.
