AUDIOGON and REVERB No Protection


When you buy on either of these websites you have "NO" protection for your purchase.....If the deal goes South, so does your money..............I just lost 663.00 on Audiogon over a damaged amplifier that had 1600.00 worth of damage that no body would pay because of poor packing.................I just had a similar experence on Reverb, I returned the damaged speaker and "NO" refund and no good reason.......So if you don't have a out be careful.....

Until they make a mistake and expect you to pay for it. They only know one thing. Its not their fault. And its your money and they have no incentive to help you.

O52:   I will use a credit card more, I have always used P/P which is also hard to work with.........Reverb has made more improvements than anyone, if they will stick with it and not let it slide..........Audiogon has done nothing to improve the very bad system and service and the scam artist know it..............You can lose a lot of money dealing on Audiogon and nobody there cares at all.................I even left neg feed-back for my seller and they took it off, and when I ask about why ??   I got no responce, that's what Audiogon will do for you.............W

Well after a third try with pay-pal I have collected 400.00 for repairs to my Classic 30 amplifier...............To point out nobody got this money without a lot of work................Audiogon didn't get it, the seller didn't get it, it took presistants to get it............On my part........W

If you make a purchase thru Paypal and use a Credit Card you dont go to PAYPAL if there is a problem. You always go directly to your Credit Card company. Ive probably had at least a couple dozen problems over the years and not once in all those times did the Credit Card company not protect me.  In many cases if the seller was being uncooperative not only would I get my money back but the Credit Card Company told me I didnt have to send the defective item back at all. This was usually because the seller refused to pay the return shipping charges OR they didnt respond to the dispute quickly enough or not at all.
