No love for Cube Audio speakers?

I have been trying to sell my Cube Audio Jazzon V-1 speakers for several months unsuccessfully.  They are wonderful speakers in all respects, but I am going in a different direction as I often do.  I am selling them for 45% of their retail price.  Any thoughts?

Your pricing and expectations seem fair.  The freight is brutal and will likely eat away at your sales price.  I’ve got 2 pieces of gear listed and have gotten plenty of offers but all low ball offers.  The are Preamps so freight isn’t that big an issue but everyone is looking for bigger discounts than what I have seen in the past.  I’m likely going to end the listings as it’s more valuable for me to hold onto the gear.  Either way inflation, tariffs and who knows what else, my replacement cost is way up, it’s only a matter of time for the market to cycle and used gear pricing which is depressed right now to rise.  Good luck!  They look like great speakers, love the color!  I’d buy them but I’m on the East Coast and freight would be insane.

Strictly speaking, there is no such thing as low ball offer. The stuff you are selling is not worth anything until it's sold. But there are good and bad manners.

Try posting it here on Audiogon. You may get a bite or two. If you aren’t posting it here because you don’t want to pay a listing fee then you get no sale. I never try to cheap out on listing something i want to sell.  I think it’s kind of galling you didn’t list it here yet you come here to gripe about it.

How much does Audiogon charge these days ? It's been a while since I post anything for sale here. In any case, I think it's a good idea to try and sell them here.

In my experience, trying to resell lesser known gear can be very hit or miss. Unless the gear is red hot, flavor of the month based on multiple rave reviews and lots of forum chatter. Think maybe early Denafrips before people knew the name. Anything less than that, even if it really excellent, and even if it was already a very good deal at the original price, is tough to find a buyer. I have let things sit for almost a year before I got any interest and at that point I was ready to just keep the stuff.

I've learned that selling to local friends or acquaintences is much better, if you can find some sort of network that way. It's tough though.
