KEF Blade or Blade 2

I'm still on the couch waiting for my injury to heal and have little better to do than stalk forum threads. IDK if the above is considered cheap or what, but it's all I could find for the blade Xover.

That does look a lot neater than the video I watched.  I'm really not trying to be a troll.  I friend of mine bought the 2's and they sound awesome.  Thanks for posting.

Ime, the reference 5 meta sounds better than the blade. 

Listen to then both and decide for yourself.

I don't doubt all the variables that draw us to a speaker apply to the Blades also and while the Ref 5 look pretty conventional and dated for a 2025 sota design, I don't doubt they'll look and sound better in specific set ups. My listening room has opposing corners that turn at 45 deg instead of typical 90deg angles and I think it's why speakers with side firing woofers sound (and measure) much better in my room. 

 The Blades sound carefully tuned in the upper mids to avoid any sibilance in the upper mids, something that was my biggest problem with previous KEF Uni-q designs. That said I've not heard the ref line since meta was introduced, and already owning a pair of Blades makes swapping seem redundant.
