I could have started this on the cables thread.....but....
After 24 hours of system operation with music playing, I have concluded that the factory umbilical cable between my Usher P307A chassis and power supply has been a "bottleneck" to my preamps performance...actually, the system performance. I decided to contact Brad, the owner and designer of Revelation Audio Labs, and he graciously designed and built an umbilical cable for me. So far, what I am hearing from this cable, are fireworks! More to come and thank you for your interest in what I have to say. Always, MrD.

There has never to my knowlege been any sound quality issues with RAL cables. I own a RAL umbilical for my MF Titan power amp, It's excellent. You should be careful handling them because they are solid silver and cryoed and can break if you twist them aggressively. If Brad is back in customer support mode I'll order a pre-amp umbilical soon. |
@lordmelton Brad has been extremely professional with me during my cable design/purchase process. In my case, the cable is "set and forget", meaning it suspends from the preamp chassis down about a meter to the power supply, and all is well. Your preamp (very nice, btw) will give you more of everything it is giving you now, with the RAL cable by Brad.... I have no doubt, and you already know with your MF Titan. I do not mean to sound like a salesman for Brad and RAL, but I am truly "blown away" by the SQ improvements by this one cable. My system has morphed into another dimension of blissful enjoyment...... |
