Revel F36 or Dali Oberon 7

Hey guys,

Decided to let go of my Martin Logan 60xti.  They were just too harsh for me. I tried to like them, couldn't. get there.  Budget is 1000k per speaker.

I've narrowed it down to Revel F36 or Dali Oberon 7.

Looking for some advice (pros and cons)....room is large. My seating position is 9-10ft from speaker. I enjoy my music as higher volumes, 95 SPL.

  • Amps - Schiit Tyr(s),
  • Preamp -- Schiit Freya+
  • Streamer -- Lumin T1 mini

Thanks!

I usually don't care for either Revel or KEF unless I throw a crapton of watts at them. The Oberon line isn't going to win any science fair awards, but they do bring more fun to the music.

Got the Oberon 7s hooked up. I like them better than 60xtis. The 60xtis are going back. Next I will get the F35s and compare them with the Oberon 7s. The winner stay and the search will be over. I’ll revisit the speaker situation in a couple years

apples and oranges. Dali is a much larger / consumer company, Reve is about 5 times smaller, audiophile focused. That means Dali is economies of scale, may be better value. But just because it's Danish it's not in a Dynaudio/Raidho/Borresen league.

Revel is part of Harmon, which itself is part of Samsung. So Revel enjoys considerable benefit from economy of scale.

We’ll see what’s sounds the best to me. I’m not concerned with economies of scale, just quality of music to my ears.
