@jsalerno277 . Excellent !Team members are stepping out, thanks for spilling the beans. |
Sabih, you have a great system. I have nothing but praise for VOTT. I have a set of 'simple' model 19's I manufactured myself using commercial plans and documentation from Altec, and Altec drivers and crossovers. I had my 515B woofers reconed using Altec parts and remagnitized by Great Plains Audio in Oklahoma City. The 511B Horns and drivers were form a VOTT. I also have a setup of Theil CS3.6 I got from a friend. I listen to both but I prefer the VOTT's, Neither system are going anywhere anytime soon. I know others listen to and love their speakers as I do, Some paid far more then I but if they enjoy the sound I cannot judge. I didn't think you were seeking affirmation, only disseminating info and asking the question about their relevance compared to today's technology. It took me a while to get to this point; your system is not outdated. It is as relevant today as when it was being used in a recording studio as a monitor to help produce the sound others try to this day to duplicate with their own system. If these have a lot of miles on them, you might consider having those woofers remagnitized. especially if you like the music loud. - SJB |
