PMC Twenty5.22i

Well I received the Twenty5.22i speakers today, and yes they paired lovely with the Sugden IA-4 amp. Effortless to drive these speakers with a good Class A amp. The clarity and articulation and annunciation is so clean and fast. The bass is perfect, not boomy very nice. This was a great choice.

@soix

Thanks.....

1) How close to the back wall will the speakers be?

ANSWER - 12”.  NOTE the maximum width of speaker is about 8” since they have sit on my 66” cabinet with the TV in the middle.   Will these speakers be too large for room?  I do not know but it is a concern.

2) What sound characteristics are most important to you?

ANSWER -  I like a warmer  immersive sound without excessive low frequencies (not booming).   An open soundstage and beautiful sound.  In other words, similar to my PMC Twenty5.21 speakers but more.

3)  What’s your budget, and are you looking for new or used?

ANSWER - New, around $5,000 - $6,000.  The PMC Twenty5.22i speaker look very good but I am open to other speaker options.

@hgeifman  Given your budget and what you’re looking for I’d put the ProAc D2 high on your list although their cheaper monitors may be sufficient as well.  The Qln Prestige One is a little over your budget but worth a look, and the Joseph Audio Prism, Usher Dancer Mini-X, Fritz Carbon 7, and Revival Atalante 3 are also outstanding at their price points.

Thanks for the information.  More speakers to consider.  Much appreciated.
