Denafrips Pontus 15th, Pass Labs INT-60, and Wilson Sabrinas

Curious what people think of this setup, I’m using Transparent interconnects and the Wilsons are not the X model, but are refurb’d originals. Was planning on using Amazon 12 ga. speaker cables, but I wonder if this is going to be a weak link in my setup. The amp is 8 weeks out so I’ve got some time to rethink the cables. Thoughts?

I was waiting too long for the INT-60 so I decided to cancel that order and go with the INT-250 which is more readily available. The musc I listen to is very dynamic (Daft Punk and Pink Floyd for example). My understanding is that the INT-60 doesn’t really have the headroom to support these dynamics. It’s a week and a half out, so I’ll report back after it’s all setup and tuned.

Thanks @devinplombier! Hoping I don’t miss the class A, but then again - I won’t know what I don’t know 🤣😛 this is my first serious system.

You still get Class A power with the Int-250. You should experiment with speaker placement. Dependency on the room size and acoustics adjust the distance between speakers and try different toe in. Avoid placing these speakers too close to walls - they need room to breathe with the rear port and high res drivers.

@audphile1 - thanks for the advice! They’re still in boxes in my living room 🤣 I don’t have a ton of freedom to move them, but the plan is to have them about 18” from their back wall. They’re only about 6 and a half feet apart (measured from tweeter centers) so I’m trying to keep the listening spot about 8-9 feet away. Sadly not a whole lot of room to work with as you’ll see when I post a pic of the system once the amp comes in. I’m hoping it’ll work with this 40-44 degree toe-in axes. #fingerscrossed
