Has anyone heard the avatar dyastation cd player. It is some sort of modified playstation 1 player with german tubes. It is said to compete with cd players up to 15,000 dollars. I can't find much about it anywhere on the net, thanks for your help
Hello Audiofun, you said it sounded good when it is connected direct to the amp, but since my amp is only xlr, I will not be able to do this, how does it sound with a preamp?
Obviously that will depend on how good your preamp is but I will tell you right now, it is going tom have to be ridiculously good to beat that passive pot they used. To give you an idea, I would say something like a Joule Electra/ Pass Labs ... Would simply get in the way. Just use a Jensen s.e. To XLR conversion transformer and you'll be set.
