Tonearm DIN question

I have a vintage Pioneer PL41 that has a large DIN connector on the bottom. Is there a DIN reducer so I can use say an Audioquest ( that I have ) interconnect which has a smaller DIN. Or is there a good way to adapt the smaller DIN to this arm?

Thom, if you're talking about modifying the TT (or is it the tonearm itself!) to match the cable, wouldn't it be easier, cheaper and less invasive to reterminate the cable to match the TT. I don't understand your logic, or am I missing something?

Hi Nsgarch,

I was visualizing a 'table which had flying leads leaving the tonearm which were then terminated into this DIN connector.

If indeed the real(?) DIN connector mates into the tonearm, then yes, it makes a whole lot more sense to terminate the tonearm cable to match makes it - assuming the availability of the connector of course.

Cheers,

Would the item below satisfy your requirements?

Wow James - I was all ready to be shocked that someone actually made such an adaptor, but the item you mention has a "real" mini-DIN (same as a keyboard, mouse or S-video connector ;-) Unfortunately, it's not the same as the "mini-DIN" on a tonearm cable.
