Best DAC to use with 2014 Airport Express

Tried a Peachtree DAC with an airport express and it can't seem to lock onto the signal, with dropout every 10-15 seconds.

Any suggestions of $400 or so DAC that works with Airport Express?

Pulled an Music Fidelity V-Dac out of another system and it works fine though needed to turn the volume control up halfway to get sound.
