Sudden Problem with CDDB using XLD

I've been busy importing cd's using a Mac mini. Things have been going seamlessly. After pregap the CDDB bar comes on and asks for confirmation of the title and then the image art is filled into what was the blank square. It is only then that the import begins. All of a sudden things went wonky. The CDDB bar stopped displaying to confirm. The ripping starts automatically and no album art is made available. Anyone familiar with this problem or have any ideas as to how to fix it. Things look OK in Preferences on the mini.
