WAVE KINETICS NVS Reference Turntable

I was having a conversation with a fellow audio lover about tables and there appears to be some mysterious information about this specific table missing so if others could chime in to share some light that would be great.

1. what is the bearing design - link to pics

2. what is the motor and who is it by - link pics

3. provide link to pics of the table with the platter off

4. why does the table come shipped with the platter attached and why can't it be removed

5. who actually manufactures it and where does it get manufactured

6. are pces sourced here and there and just assembled or all from the same manufacture? it was mentioned over seas, is this correct?

I think this was posted on a forum called what's best forum, and I think Mike Mike Lavigne gave it rather short shriff.
Not being funny, but who is gonna take apart a complex product like the Wave Kinetics - I guess it's a bit like taking a spanner to a Ferrari Enzo

#4. I assume the platter functions like in the Classic Direct as the rotor and can't be separated. But why is that important?

It's not important but would like to learn about it - wouldn't you? See an actual picture - I'm sure they have.

Ya Mike did but was very vague and limited information, not asking for it to be taken apart - had to be put together first right? and if there is an issue repaired. I recall at the beginning they had some shipping issues and bearing being bent so they would have had to take it apart to fix right?

It just seems so odd that in the end it's all so secretive and simple question causing friction, should be proud to share.

What DD tables have you played with DEV?

SP10 MKII & III and Teres
Myles, In all cases of which I am aware, the platter of a DD turntable is "part" of the rotor, once it's fastened onto the rotor assembly, or, as in the case of the SP10 Mk3, the rotor and platter come off the chassis as a single piece. This is to say that the mere fact that the NVS platter is part of the rotor does not explain why the platter cannot be removed from the chassis. As some may recall, when the NVS first hit the market there were a few problems with shipping, owing to the fact that the TT shipped with the platter installed. I guess this led to some damaged bearings. But these issues were said to have been resolved. Since that brouhaha, I have not heard much of anything about the NVS.
