Wasn't this forum going to be updated?

Some time ago I received an invitation to join a 'new' version of this forum, and responded with alacrity since I find this one incredibly difficult to use. No one responded to my response which I guess means I failed some test, but no matter what: that was many months ago.

Has the 'update' died on the vine?

Didn't the site want us to use a "hub" or something instead of the forums. Anytime I see a push like that it usually means a new manner of introducing advertising. Don't know if it ever functioned or still does?
They should just switch to vBulletin forum software. Much better than this ancient forum software.
Mechans - The Hub is still there - just go to main Audiogon page and hit Blog. It looks nice, but there is almost no content there. Personally, I think from the start it was a waste of their time to develop it.

My guess is that they either do not have the code for this forum or that was written in such a way that is almost impossible to update, probably with outdated tools.

Personally, I would like to see the ability to quote other posts and the ability to edit my posts. But, those are hardly crucial.

I would let the site stay the way it is. I really doubt that the current format stops people from posting and a fancier forum probably will not draw more users. Plus, any real change will probably require more advertising. The transition period on the selling site was painful. I see no reason to go through that here.
