Smata,
You want a standard 3 pin connector, the Neutrik connector above NC3FXX is a great plug.
Pin #1 is your shield/ground wire(sometimes green).
Pin #2 is the white or red(+) wire
Pin #3 is the black(-) or return wire.
The female plug is the start of your signal path, so, if the wire you use is directional you want the signal to begin with the female plug(source) and end at the male plug, say your preamp or amp. Follow me?
Make sure you match pin to pin, in other words Pin #1 on one end of the cable(female plug) goes to Pin #1 on the other end of the same cable(male plug). Also make sure you have a female plug on one end of the cable and a male on the other(you'd be surprised some people mess it up!).
Don't forget that you want to put the plug body, clamp/strain relief and end plug on PRIOR to crimping/soldering your wires!!
If you are confused or get lost don't hesitate to contact me and I'd be happy to guide you through it, it's easy once you get the hang of it. You can email me directly at john@koolcables.com
I hope this helps you out some.
Best of luck,
John
