Speaker wire gauge

Do any members know what the "equivalent gauge" would be when you bundle 4 strands of 24 gauge wire together? Thanks!

You can calculate that from the resistance numbers in this wire gauge table, by dividing the resistance number for 24 gauge by 4, and looking up the corresponding gauge. Regards, -- Al

Double the number of (same-gage) conductors (power) and the gage number (or deciBels) changes by 3. So 2 24s = 21g., and 2 21s (AKA 2 24s) = 18g. .
