Philadelphia area audio club?

Is there an active one, as is mentioned in the S. New Jersey thread? Anyone interested "in thinking about starting one"? Thanks.

Dan,

Thanks again for the hospitality. It was a great afternoon meeting new people and renewing old contacts.

I look forward to November's gathering!
Invitation... Our next gathering is Sunday, November 9, from 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m. at my house. If you live in the Philadelphia area, and would like to meet some other folks who also enjoy good music reproduction, we'd love to have you join us. The focus of this meeting will be sharing some great music while exploring what one vinylholic's playback system can do with those old-fashioned 12" disks.

If you've not already attended one of our meetings and would like to join us on the 9th, please send me an e-mail through Audiogon with your full name and home telephone number (no cell phones, please). I'll call you with directions.
My belated thanks to Dan for a wonderful afternoon of music and friends last month. Also, my thanks in advance to Rush for hosting this coming Sunday. Looking forward to getting together again to talk music and system, and discover new music; well, music new to me anyway. Thanks again, Jim
Hi,

I'm interested in joining an audio club. Although I live 50 miles northwest of Phila, I work in Phila and spend my week there. My system consists of a Sonograph SD-1 for CD and a Rega Planar 2 W/ a Grado Reference Platinum cartridge and an Audio Alchemy VAC in the Box phono preamp for vinyl. A Conrad Johnson PV-8 preamp and two Golden Tube Audio SE 40's run mono to drive the top end of a pair of Snell A III's and a Adcom GFA 555 to drive the bottom end of the snells. I also have a Creek OBH-11 headphone amp and a pair of Sennheiser HD 570 headphones. I'm currently driving the Snells with the Adcom as I'm having trouble with the GTA's. I'm looking for someone to fix them and maybe upgrade them. I can be contacted via Audiogon.
I am interested in a possible audio and/or video club in Delaware. I would like to start one at my home if others would like. I live in central Delaware. drbarney1@juno.com is my address. I am also interested in any other activity in Delaware. I use 45 SET amplifiers with dual outputs and electronic filters that circumvent the need for speaker crossovers. I design and build my own amplifiers.
I have nothing against other approaches to sound systems; i.e. push pull amplifiers, horn speakers, and even solid state things.
