Advice on Seperates?

I am an old Hafler fan. I have collected 7 Hafler XL-280's that produce 400 watts in mono. They will be the backbone of my dream system. I would like to begin the upgrade a piece at a time. Any suggestions on a Preamp/Processor? I currently use a Harmon Kardon AVR 80 with the seperate ADA 330P Dolby Digital Processor. I would like to add DTS and the new 6 channel (rear center) and 7 channel matrix sound in the replacement.

I had a Harmon Kardon AVR 30 and sold it on this site and purchased a pre-owned Proceed AVP also on this site. It will be a big improvement over the HK or any av reciever. It has all of the channels need for 7.1 playback but at present does not offer DolbyEX. But this is only a matter of time as the Proceed is upgradebale by a simple download of new software. It has DTS though. The only thing that I am aware of that has all of what you are seeking are the Lexicon units. I prefer the Proceed though because it has an analog preamp which sounds better on 2 channel and that's mainly what I to what I listen. Madrigal who make Proceed is a Harmon International company as is Lexicon if you did not know. Also there is a software upgrade for the AVP due any day for 24/96 playback so you will not get left behind in that area. Lastly, the Avp has Burr Brown 1702 dacs on the front two channels which are some of the best dacs to my understanding and are the ones used on some of the better Mark Levinson preamps.
Hi my advice is to wait a month or so Anthem is coming out with the new AVM-1 it is a do every thing pre amp that will knpock your socks off Cheers RLA
Get a EAD Ovation or Signature... I replaced my very good preamp for an EAD and it was worth it. The AVP does not have the same dacs for the rear channel as the front... gumba's couldnt put up the extra 50 dollars.
