Sorry Br, took a long time to spot your post.Grace 707 been around for 20 years! If i remember correctly, it's a very fine t/arm which my peers backthen fit onto the legendary Linn LP12. Its designed for both mm & mc cartridges, however for the heavier(generally)mc, Grace supplied add-on counterweight attachment ring over the basic one just for mc's. Check yours if its there. I'm sure someone(long service!)in Linn UK be able to help you.Sorry cannot tell you more about Grace, was it made in Japan?? I heard it used nicely with Fidelity Research (FR)mc's series, not sure whether it's still available. Check the used sources. I don't think there's problem using any mm cart. of your choice, just ensure the add-on counterweight is first removed for the setup. Happy hunting. Phil.
Grace Tone Arms
Further from my Ariston turntable query, I would be grateful if anybody who knew anything about Grace tone arms could advise me on decent cartridges that would match. The arm itself appears very thin- is this a good or a bad thing?, as most other good tone arms I have seen seem much thicker
