Silver interconnects & copper speaker cable O.K. ?

Is it O.K. to mix and match or should a system consist of all copper or all silver in regard to the cabling?
Does it make a difference?
Does it matter?
Thanks and enjoy the weekend!

Use what works best in your system to your ears. If a specific combo helps you to enjoy your recordings more than others, use that. It does not matter if the cables came from the Goodwill store or are made out of platinum and designed for use with NASA grade equipment. Sean

This is OK, only if you don't play your equipment underwater! Then you will have an electrolysis problem between the copper and silver!
I use silver IC's and copper speaker cables and am happy with the results. I at some point will try silver speaker cables, but need to save up enough $$$ to do so. I want to upgrade my CDP first though.

Regards,
WHy would you question that when you are probably using Copper wire inside your speakers and the Contacts are Copper.

Mixing the 2 in a Cable design I have read introduces grain, but everything in the chain matters. It is finding that magical combo which makes things intresting for me.

I am trying to find the most cost effective combo that makes my system sound it's best.

Some Copper that I am using has the traits of good SIlver so it has alot to do with the design rather than the type in my reading and hearing.

Another thing that I am intrested in is the mixing of dissimilar metals for the connectors. So there are always questions and hard to find answers.

I'd rather experiment buying wires and trying things instead of paying for a finished product that might or might not work. Saves $$ and I learn alot.
Good metallurgical copper and silver should both sound good. However, I prefer silver for IC's.

If the metals are not fabricated and processed right, either one can sound bad.
