Help with new turntable... Thank you

Hello all. After I looked around for an used turntable I decided to go with a new one.

My budget as limited as it is and it is suppose to be for everything: turntable + arm + cartridge = $506.76

For what should I look for this kind of money? I am pretty much decided for Pro-Ject 1 Xpression with Ortofon Vinylmaster white (and other than the cartridge, I doubt that I will be interested to modify or upgrade).

What is your opinion, please.

The best bet is to get a brand new 1200 and do the KAB mods as finances allow.

Dear Rmihai: In your budget, the Pro-ject, Music Hall and Rega are very good choice, any one. Ortofon cartridges are a very good choice too.

Holy crap, just think, if you could find all that for only $505.47 you would save $1.29. I'm not trying to be a smart ass I just couldn't resist. I've never seen anyone with a budget down to the pennies. Good luck.
