Is it ok to connect an amplier straight to the wall? I thought it sound better without the monster HTS 2000 power conditioner, I just dont know if it is wise to do this. Any feedback or recommendation would be appreciated.

My amp is a parasound 2205.

I am also a member of the wall pluggers club of America, if it spikes its insured, other wise it is one less thing in the way of my over priced outlets ;)

i've tried and tried to plug my amp directly into the wall but, so far, i get a "power on" indication only when i find, by trial and error, an outlet box. -cfb
I second the notion that surge protection is one issue and power "conditioning" is another. IMHO, believe your ears! And, when in doubt, have a friend help you with a blind test and then spend more money on music! Charlie
I have the HTS 2000 also. It's surprisingly good for everything but the power amp. Plug it into the wall.
