How close is too close for a truntable to speakers

I want to move my turntable to a different location (TNT MK III).

I am not sure where in the room is best in relation to the speakers (Maggie 3.6)

How close is too close?
Where is the best place?
Where is the worst place?
What should I absolutely NOT do?
