Audio Synthesis DAX Discrete vs. Meitner DAC6

I´m considering the purchase of the Audio Synthesis DAX Discrete or Meitner DAC6 so I´ll appreciate any comment about them. It´s nearly impossible to do a demo of both units around my town. TIA

I own the DAX Discrete, but have not heard the Meitner. I don't know of anyone who has heard both units. The DAX Discrete is a very high resolution DAC that offers truly outstanding performance. The claims made about this DAC at the Audio Synthesis website are accurate in my experience. Obviously the Meitner DAC6 is highly regarded by it's owners as well.
