Is the EMM CDSD transport in very short supply?

Is EMM having trouble manufacturing these or is the demand just high?

I have never seen a supply-demand imbalance anything like this for any audio product before. Ed Meitner must be proud (as he should be, I guess). I do love my DCC2 (& my wife, too, if she's reading).
