Can the Sony S7700 play CDRs ?

I am looking at getting one of these to use as a CD transport but I have found postings in another forum from people who say they cannot read CDRs. Can anyone confirm for me that they can play CDRs (not mpg - say made with EAC from WAV files).

I have the Sony DVP-S7700, too. I've played CDRs many times and it works well. Sorry, I don't want to sell now - I want to get a MF Trivista 21 DAC and use the Sony as a transport and for DVDs. The 7700 has dual laser pickups, 1 for DVDs and 1 for CDs, which is good but not common.

Anybody know if the 7700 plays DVD-Rs? I know the 7000 won't.
