Have not seen the Cardas system article. Which issue did it appear in? Your cross-bracing approach seems to be an attempt to enhance the stuctural rigidity of the speakers. Because the Maggies are flat high panels, and the stiffening is provided at one extreme end of the panel, I don't know how significant its impact will be. The proposed use of a "tiptoe arrangement" is, I believe, intended to mechanically decouple the speaker from those system vibrations picked up by the floor, and transmitted through the floor back to the speaker. In essence, it is an attempt to decouple a feedback loop. I don't know how well this approach works. Thus, the inquiry.
